What Shapes the Investment.
Storage systems scale — you can do one wall or the whole garage. That's the main thing driving cost, along with how much of it is closed storage.
How many walls
Slatwall and shelving are priced by coverage. One wall behind the bench is a modest project; wrapping the garage is a different scale.
Open vs. closed storage
Slatwall, hooks, and open shelving are the value backbone. Cabinets and drawers cost more per foot and are what you want for the things you don't want on display.
Overhead racks
Ceiling racks are the cheapest square footage in the garage for totes and seasonal storage. Placement depends on your door track and ceiling height.
Benches and cubbies
A drop-zone bench with cubbies at the house door is a small build with an outsized effect on daily clutter.
Accessories
