How the hanging gets planned
- Double-hang doubles the rod length in the same wall — shirts and folded trousers above, jackets below
- A fixed shelf sits between the two rods, which is what keeps the section rigid
- Rods mount on the front holes of the panel, so a hanger shoulder clears the shelf above it
- Dedicated long-hang for dresses, coats and robes, sized to your longest garment
- We count your actual hanging before we draw it, rather than assuming a standard split
This is the single biggest gain in most closets. Builder wire shelving almost always wastes a full rod's worth of wall.
The built-ins that change how the room works
- Soft-close drawer banks with nickel bar pulls, in the depths that suit what goes in them
- Jewelry inserts and felt-lined drawers where you want them
- A center island for folding, with drawers underneath, when the floor space allows
- Hampers and pull-outs built into the run instead of sitting on the floor
- Counter-height tops you can actually set a folded stack down on
An island needs real clearance on all sides to be worth it. If the room is tight we'll say so and put the drawers in the perimeter run instead.

What Goes Into the Number.
Two walk-ins the same size can land in very different places depending on what goes in them. Here's what actually moves the cost — no price sheet, because we don't build off one.
The footprint
How many linear feet of wall we're building against. A 6x8 walk-in and a 10x12 are different projects before a single option is added.
Hanging vs. built-ins
Rods and shelving are the affordable backbone. Every drawer is a built box, so drawer count moves the number faster than almost anything else.
Whether there's an island
An island is a piece of freestanding cabinetry with a countertop. It's the single biggest optional line item in a walk-in, and it needs the floor space to earn its place.
Finish and hardware
White melamine is the workhorse. Wood-grain and matte finishes, glass fronts, and upgraded pulls each step it up.
Shoe storage and accessories
Angled shoe shelving, valet rods, belt and tie racks, jewelry inserts, and pull-out mirrors. Each is small on its own; together they're what separates a closet from a dressing room.
Lighting
